The AGW Volunteers' Tour Committee has organized a bus trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts to see Fabergé: The Rise and Fall, featuring more than 200 precious objects from the Virginia Museum which has the largest Fabergé collection in the USA. Imperial Russian treasures to be shown include four Easter eggs, jewel-encrusted handles, enamel frames and animals carved from semi-precious stones.
The trip includes bus transportation, a lovely catered lunch in the Kresge Court, admission to the exhibit and 20% discount in the DIA gift shop.
Departure time is 9:30 am (location TBA), and the bus returns to Windsor at 2:00 pm. Cost is $75 Canadian and reservations may be made by calling Molly Briggs at 519-734-6645, or D.J.
