Public Program

Art & Reading Group with the Art Gallery of Windsor and River Bookshop

Wednesday, February 24, 2021 | 7 pm – 8 pm

Presented in partnership with River Bookshop in Amherstburg
Join the Art Gallery of Windsor and River Bookshop on the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm, January through March, for themed discussions accompanied by books and art.

February 24th's meeting will feature guest facilitator Derrick Carl Biso, Special Initiatives Coordinator at the Art Gallery of Windsor. The selected artworks and readings are inspired by the work of Luke Maddaford, a local contemporary artist included in the upcoming exhibition, Conversations: Windsor Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art. We will be discussing thought-provoking themes like queer histories, futures, and presents, as well as community organizing, printed materials, multiples and ephemera. The discussion will feature art from the AGW's collection and books hand-picked by River's Head Bookseller, Lori Wightman.
