Art for Every Body: A Virtual Art Tour on Body Acceptance

Thursday, June 24, 2021 | 2 pm – 3:30 pm

The mass media are constantly sending out messages about what people's bodies should and shouldn't look like. Not only is it detrimental to self-esteem, it's also exhausting to even keep track of! Artists, on the other hand, have often committed to portraying all kinds of bodies in their work. That's why we've created a tour of art from the AGW collection featuring different types of bodies to show that every body is beautiful and purposeful. Join us on June 24 at 2pm on Zoom for the tour, along with a presentation by our special guests from the Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association and a quick body-focused meditation by the AGW's Special Initiatives Coordinator, Derrick Carl Biso.
