Join guest curator Walter Cassidy for a guided tour of Out of the Shadows, On to the Streets: 180 years of 2SLGBTQIA+ visibility in Windsor-Essex. 

Windsor-Essex has a long and interesting 2SLGBTQ+ history. Unfortunately, much of that history has been erased or lost through the suppression of 2SLGBTQ+ identities, lack of interest in the greater Windsor/Essex community, overall hate or ignorance, and lack of recognition for the importance of local 2SLGBTQ+ stories and struggles. 

This joint exhibition between Art Windsor-Essex & Museum Windsor includes a brief timeline of local 2SLGBTQ+ milestones organized by Cassidy and original works of art by local artist Rachel Pieters.
