A movement of a special kind is happening in Windsor-Essex County: More and more residents join the urban food movement by growing vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers for people in need or by learning how to grow their own food in a community garden setting. But there is much more than communal urban food production happening - biodiversity and human diversity is increasing, transforming Windsor and other cities and towns in this region to productive, green spaces that are brimming with life, hope, and belonging. Community gardens are places where all sorts of living creatures meet and where healthy communities grow. People of all ages and backgrounds are brought together with one main goal: to make our urban areas more lively and productive by enhancing their Human-Bio-Diversity.
The Windsor-Essex-County-Community-Garden-Collective invites people of all ages and backgrounds to a talk about human-bio-diversity. It will also show pictures with examples of creatures living in these urban community gardens.
FREE admission, all are welcome!
