This session we will explore how we can hold space to accept ourselves as we are. We will practice accepting our bodies, our emotional states, our actions, our struggles, and begin to create a new blueprint based on what we want.
It seems like such a simple process, yet we have been trained to ignore our bodies, avoid our emotions, and neglect our needs (especially if they are not accepted by societal norms). Many people have been doing inner-work and self-exploration over the past few years, and this may have brought forward a newfound awareness for you. It is important to practice self-acceptance, as this eases our anxiety and stress stemming from our expectations of what life should be.
Acceptance brings us into the present moment, and in this moment we have the opportunity to create a new way of being. As society is in the process of rebuilding its structures, take time to consider: what is it you want moving forward? How can you support yourself in creating safe spaces that honour your needs? How can self acceptance transform your daily life? Together, we will explore these themes through meditation, writing, and art making.
