Family Fun Sundays in the Studio

Presented with the support of Anne Safranyos & family, the AGW is pleased to offer Family Fun Sundays in the Studio.
Join AGW’s signature family-friendly program with local artist-led workshops and participate in a hands-on activity related to the current exhibitions. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The AGW thanks Anne Safranyos & Family for their 8th consecutive year of sponsorship.

Featured artists are as follows:
September: George Rizok
George Rizok will use his extensive knowledge and experience in creating super hero comic books from cover to cover to help participants create their own comic. Rizok will demonstrate uses of multi-media applications and drawing techniques for determining characters’ proportions and poses, as well as page layout and overall design.
October: Sasha Opeiko
Sasha Opeiko is a local artist with a broad experience in a variety of media including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Opeiko received her MFA in Visual Arts from University of Victoria in 2012.
November: Munazza Naeem
Join local painter and printmaker Munazza Naeem for this series of studio workshops focused on printmaking. The artist has received her MFA at Wayne State. Naeem has extensive experience as a printmaker and is active with Windsor Printmaker’s Forum.
December: Lynn Newman
Windsor-born artist and educator Lynn Newman attended the University of Windsor and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Bachelor of Education Degree, as well as a Master's Degree in Education.
Admission: $10 adult; $5 youth (ages 6-17)
